St. Michael's at Schools Cross Country 2019
On Wednesday, Feb. 27th 2019, two teams travelled to Kilmore, Scotstown, to compete in the Schools Cross Country Competition. These 13 children had trained in the wind, rain and cold conditions over the past two months and were raring to attack the grass course of Kilmore. The first race was the girls race over a 1km course. The girls ran very well and finished well up in a field of about 70 girls. Directly afterwards, the boys race began and again we had some fine performances from our boys. The children gained a lot of experience from their races and are enthusiastic about the upcoming track season. Well done to all the children who took part and also trained so hard since Christmas.
