School soccer team narrowly misses out!

Hard luck to the school senior soccer team, who narrowly missed out on wonning their group at the SPAR schools soccer tournament held today at Gortakeegan. After brilliant victories against Blackstaff NS and Aughnafarcon NS, we looked poised to top the group. Only Glaslough stood in our way. A draw would be enough. With 1-1 and two minutes to go, a brilliant shot from the Glaslough striker deflected in and we were beaten. Goal difference ruled us out. The school is very proud of today's performances from each and every one of you. Well done.
