Halloween Party Day
We had a brilliant day on Friday 24th. Everyone dressed up, even the staff! There were some amazing costumes and Scoil Mhichil was a sea of colour! First of all we had our October assembly, where all classes performed a song. Then we had our monthly awards, congratulations to everyone who won a prize for Literacy, Numeracy or Behaviour. Ella won the pumpkin after corrrectly guessing it's weight (2.8Kg). Aoibheann won the jar of sweets after guessing that there were 88 in the jar - there were actually 87. Well done to you both.
We had a special surprise visit from magician Colin Walker after assembly. It was great fun! Colin had the help of lots of volunteers from all classes and everyone loved it. Colin's assistant Suzanne then painted faces (and arms!) and everyone got a balloon. Then it was back to the classrooms for a party. Ms. Timoney-Conaty's class enjoyed lots of Halloween treats, Ms. Mc Phillips' class got very wet bobbing for apples. Meanwhile Mr. Baxter's classroom was turned into a disco for the afternoon where the whole class danced and enjoyed themselves.
Everyone was tired at 3pm! Phew! What a great day we had. Have a lovely Halloween break and we will see you all on the 3rd November.
Le gach deá ghuí,
Richard
