Actice schools week 23rd - 27th April!

All children and staff are encouraged to wear their tracksuits to school all week as we have an active week! lots of sports and visiting coaches will come to the school to get everyone up and running.

Today Wednesday our senior boys progressed to the finals of the SPAR soccer Monaghan soccer tournament, beating strong Drumgossett NS, Knockconan and Leitrim NS sides at Gortakeegan. We celebrated all things Irish today at school where the children dressed up in green and did their best to speak "as Gaeilge". This was part of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2018. We enjoyed Irish dancing, poems, traditional music and were treated to a performance by the Pre-Schoolers.

SCHOOL CLOSED FRIDAY 16TH MARCH

As part of Department approved staff training days, the school will close on Fri 16th to facilitate training in new Child Safeguarding procedures.
This is a reschedule from the cancelled day on Friday 2nd. The school will reopen on Tuesday 20th March.

Our school community was plunged into mourning when we learned of the untimely passing of Fr. Joseph Mc Cluskey, last week. Fr. Joe was Chairperson of this school's Board of Management for 22 years. We remember him as a kind, friendly man who was evoted to his ministry and love of God. He was...
